1995 Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin Clos St. Jaques 1er cru - This wine took a while to grow on me. It seems a bit hard and shrill in the beginning with a finish that fell off abruptly after the mid-palate. With air the wine filled in nicely showing lots of forest scents, dried cherried, cardamom and cinnamon spice. After an hour had passed it became broader and the tannins integrated better into the wine. Very nice stuff that could use another two to five years of cellaring. Thanks to ojeffso for bringing the best wine I've had from Jadot to date.
