Deep garnet with a bricked edge. Medium nose of earth, leather, cardamon, cherry and strawberry. Medium body, medium intensity and medium acidity. This had so much sweet fruit on the palate it makes me wonder if it was chapitalized. Still a pleasure to drink, with good balance. 89+pts.



An interesting lesson in bottles:

The first bottle of this wine I opened had a perfect fill and label, an excellent looking bottle all around that most people would have purchased. Madeirized. The second bottle had a moldy label and the fill sat at about mid shoulder that most people would be hesistant about purchasing. That ended up being the good bottle.
