Tasted 08/24/2005.

White flowers, pear and spice on the nose. On the palate, rich and oily with honey, pears and orange, it is medium-bodied with an oaky, spicy finish.

A little bit more oak than most of the wines tried this night. The oiliness (not buttery) combined with the oak almost made it seem California like. However, still distinctively Burgundian, and highly enjoyable (though young).

My #2 WOTN, but I suspect it will be better with more age under its belt to let the oak integrate better.

Mike
