1997 Domaine Georges Mugneret Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots -- pale ruby color, looking almost washed out; sweet nose of cherry, mushroom, hints of roses; lots of earthy notes in the mouth, but also lots of ripe cherry, sage, silky texture; long finish with tannin and fruit doing a delicate dance for a while. App. 91-2 pts. I'm guessing it's at its peak now, and drinking very well.
