Purchased recently for $15 from the Sam's bargain bin. The top of the cork was quite moldy, but the wine was fine. Light gold color. Toasted marshmallow nose, with some matchstick notes. Smokey pear, brown butter, and hazelnuts on the palate. Impressive structure and finish for a wine of this age. Would have rated it higher if some of the "burnt" characteristics weren't so prominent. But it went well with the scallops we had for dinner. (87 pts.)
