12.5% Alcohol

Color: Clear, pale straw

Nose: Minerals and lemons with just a hint of oak.

Taste: Lemons and minerals on the palate. Medium concentration, but smooth, with a nice, moderate finish. Well integrated from start to finish.

Conclusion: A very good effort for a Bourgogne. 1996 was a very good year, and this wine has held up well. While this wine is not as concentrated as the Meursault I reviewed earlier, all parts are a little better integrated in this one. Very drinkable, although lousy QPR IMO - $26 retail (I paid $20). 86-87 points
