Tasted at the Vitis Vinifera and jonnlisa dinner in Denver on Sunday, December 28, 2003.

Tasted double blind by most tasters.

A very complete wine, that not everyone will appreciate. This is a smooth, sweet wine. High in alcohol (there was some heat through the finish), the wine smelled and tasted of blueberry cobbler and almonds. Almost dessert wine-like in its profile, it had a long finish. This wine had been decanted for ten hours before tasting, so give it a lot of time in the decanter or let it rest a few years before trying it. Taste it on its own, instead of with food.

My rating is 94 points.

I have some of the '00 Lesec Marquis CDP. Sounds like a totally different wine (which of course it is) as the Marquis is a bit more savory. It had ample fruit, but it is nowhere near what I would term a fruit bomb.
