| Purchased for $22 from Gary's Wine & Marketplace, Madison, NJ.
80% Grenache
15% Syrah
5% Mourvedre
14.3% alcohol
Decanted and tried immediately, the wine kicked off some serious fresh raspberry (actual earthy fresh-picked raspberries - not the overly fruity jam raspberries), minerals, and earth.
Well integrated for a youngster, this wine aims to please with a good balance of fruit, acid, and tannin.
I can picture this wine matching perfectly with grilled meats (sausage, red meat, even pork loin with a semi-spicy pineapple-orange glaze).
A very enjoyable wine. 88-90 points.
