Ruby, clear red. Some light raspberry and ripe cherry, with a slight peppery and mineral edge. Nicely balanced, medium-bodied and drinking well. Good, short/medium finish. I wish I could have stronger aromas, but I won't ask for anything else from a $10 wine. Very nice and a good QPR. 85 pts.

CdRs are a great QPR. They're remarkably consistent (at least the ones from the good producers are) and also are good for cooking. That is NOT to say they're not also good for drinking. Since I virtually never use a full bottle of wine for cooking, I look for something I can enjoy drinking while I cook.
