This non filtered wine retails for around $20 NZD. The information on this wine is so limited. So any info would be appreciated. Now on with the tasting notes. Tasted at room temperature with no decanting. Thewine is apparently 90% Grenach with 10% Syrah according to the info the distributor sent me.

Tasted in an ISO at room temperature (possibly a little cold today 11 degrees celsius)

Colour: Bright dark red
Nose: Initial dominance by the phenols, covered fruits which developed over a few moments (a bout five minutes). Strong aniseed plums and some slight stemmy notes. Hints of smoky tobacco characters as well (Large oak?)
Palate: Good tannins and reasonable length, the aniseedy licorice character on the nost dominates. Moderate to high acidity. The tannins are a little dominating for my liking (some age wouldn't go amiss)
Alcohol bitterness also evident.
Overall: Not a bad wine for the money, but not an excellent wine for the money. I rate this 83/100 but it will develop.
