| - 2004 Domaine des Relagnes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Petits Pieds D'Armand - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (3/10/2007)
Tasted at a retail wine tasting. OK -- maybe I am an old world wine kind of guy after all. Compared to the Bordeaux I just had, this was extremely fresh, lively, and compelling -- no dead flowers or dried out animal skins here. Vibrant notes of black raspberry, black cherry, tar, mineral, and pink peppercorns. Firmly structured and capable of going the distance, but it's drinking really well now. Really terrific stuff! 92-93 points. (92 pts.)

| Nice note - can you say the name of this wine five times fast? A tough one. | | | |
