| - 2001 Château de Saint-Cosme Gigondas - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Gigondas (3/7/2007)
Dark clear ruby in color; Garrigue and a bit o' horsey on the nose; the midpalate had raspberry, garrigue and black pepper flavors. Balanced wine but a bit rustic with black pepper on the finish. Definitely into a secondary phase but still has some tannins and acid to shed. Well-priced at ~$23 on release. [Decanted 30 minutes and recommended] (90 pts.)
