Tasted August 12, 2006 at a retail tasting. Served in a Reidel Restaurant Magnum glass. Ruby color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of raspberries and cherries over and earthy backbone. Flavors of blackberries, black cherries and bitters. Light to medium acidity with firm tannins. Light to medium bodied. Drink over the short term. Based on my local retail price of $10.19 I’d say the value here is barely acceptable. (85 pts.)
