| The best dry CdP I've ever tasted.
As soon as I smelled this I knew it was not a typical CdP and had a very high percentage of Roussanne (I just looked it up, it is 80%). Aromas of dry apricots, figs, and pineapple (but in the best sense) translate to the same flavors on the palate. And when I say dry, I don't just mean lacking in sugar -- of which there is none -- but also that it is air or sun dried fruits that this wine evokes. The brilliant dry honey of Roussanne shows through on the long finish and, while I drank this mostly without food and fell in love with it, with food I imagine this would be even better. This is what dry white wine is supposed to taste like. Disclaimer, I have a personal fondness for the flavors of Roussanne... 94+ | | I can't listen to that much Wagner.
