| An update for those of you with 98 Les Pallieres in your collection. I was quite unimpressed with my first bottle of this back in Jan. 02, although it was noticeably better the second night. Parker's notes say to drink up by 2004 or so. I cracked my second bottle of this last weekend, and while, IMHO, it will probably never come close to the "92" rating WS gave it, I found that 14 months of additional bottle age improved it considerably. Not overly complex, but an aroma and flavor profile of moderate black fruit, pepper, and earth. Smooth, easy drinking. Current MBD rating of "86", up from bottle one's rating of "80". | | |
