Medium garnet with some bricking

Warm cherries, fresh hay, lavendar, and earth in the nose.

Cassis, cherries, earth, and spices on the palate. Some tannins evident, with a moderate finish. I thought this wine was about three years over the hill, but many of those at the tasting absolutely loved this wine. 89 points.

My 3rd place wine and the group's first place wine.
