| I know stuff all about this producer except that his wines have improved in the last decade or so. This wine is a blend of Syrah and grenache. Not sure on the figures. Can't even remeber where I pciked it up.
Colour: Red with moderate to thick bricking. Nose: Stewy soft cedar spiced cassis and cherries. Seems to have some sage notes although overall the wine smells "thin" with an acetic character overiding the other aromas. Palate: It has a medium body, with restrained length and a short finish. The palate shows some fruit but overall this wine is definately on the way down. The body of the wine is what carries this through as the acids are now dominating all other characters of the wine adding little to the structure. Overall: maybe a bad bottle but I don't know if this would be a wine cpaabnle of seven years or not. Disappointing 80 points.
