This wine was courtesy of Frued at Triomphe in NYC. Thanks for the treat, Frued. Wine was tasted in Riedel Vinum Bordeaux stems. Wine was opened and tasted w/ little air time.

Color is dark as midnight. Nose is very reserved w/ some blueberry notes. Full bodied and lush, dark fruits, leather and smoky notes on the palate with no brett. Tannins were present but not overbearing (compared to the '88 Haut Brion tasted earlier). This wine finishes fairly long and strong. Would have loved to try this with 2 hrs. in the decanter. jb Rating 90
