| Maintaining good color, medium to light red with very little bricking. Musty smell gives way to wet earth and tobacco. After about 15 minutes, the wine reveals currant with pencil lead and river rock flavors. A bit past its prime, but still drinking fine. If anyone has a properly stored magnum, that should be really good. 85 points. | | Randy Sloan Match Vineyards |

| With the exception of the Petrus and the La Mission, I think the 1975s have passed their peak. | | | |

| I have five bottles of the Petrus resting, but almost all my other 1975s are history. I think I have a couple of First Growths left. | | | |

| Board-O, M. Broadbent last tasted the '75 Petrus in 12/95 and gave it 5 out of 5 stars. BTW he describes it, you can tell he is a major lover of it. His quote: "Thick, velvety, full of fruit, chewy - you name it" Let me know when you open one. I will fly in and enjoy it with you. IW | | | |

| According to the last write-up from Parker that I saw, this wine isn't ready to drink yet. I drabbed one a few years ago and it was tannic and closed. | | | |

| A note on another board mentioned the las cases still developing from 75. As I am looking for a birth year wine for my wife, does anyone have any recent experience? | | | |

| smaug, I just ran downstairs to my cellar and checked my log. I still have two of the '75 Las Cases. My notes indicate the wine is just now reaching its peak and should stay there for quite a while. Parker's anticipated maturity is 2001-2015. | | | |

| I had the '75 Las Cases about a month ago and it was drinking very well, at maturity, but should hold a decade. I would probably have put it at 92 to 93 points. It was drank at an offline so I couldn't follow it over the course of an evening, it wasn't given air, and it was drank after a good bit of Bryant Family, Sherwin Family and other big monsters, it still showed well. The '75 Las Cases can be had for less than a hundred bones. | | | |

| I guess I should drink my magnum of 75 Leoville. Parker's Bordeaux "drinking windows", from my recent personal experience, are exaggerated. | | | |
