| i drank this over two nights. short the world and lcc each had a glass on the first night. this wine received a 92-94 barrel rating from parker. paid $38, but this can be bought for $33-35 a bottle. as it sits on the boarder with margaux, it drinks less like a st. julien and more like a margaux. opened and splash decanted 2 1/2 hours prior to drinking. about 70% cabernet sauvignon with remainder merlot.
opaque ruby purple. multiple legs with a 96 point nose of flowers, perfume, minerals and spice. medium to full bodied with plenty of concentrated fruit that is still very tight. excellent balance and structure. this is a mouthful. well integrated silky sweet tannins. wine opened up more on secomd night and tannins were sweeter. i would not touch this wine for another 4-5 years and it should easily last for 20 years. me 93+
this is another 2000 bordeaux i am high on. as i have mentioned in earlier posts, most of the 2000 bordeaux i have tasted are at the high end or higher than parker's reviews. parker also mentioned this a few days ago.
this wine is a buy at this price, but patience will be needed.

| ojeffso - Thanks for the note.
I have been on the lookout for this wine and nice to see Parker's ratings confirmed.

| Just checked my notes & I have it @ 92+. Needs time. A buy for the $$$, for me also.
Thank You, Mr. ojeffso.

| What a fantastic wine!
Huge 96-100 point nose (as ojeffso stated). A plush, approachable wine for a 2000 Bordeaux of all things.
Low acidity, tsaty fruit flavors of cassis and slight cherry. Heavy, teeth coating tannins start to show through with air.
A very well structured, medium bodied wine that is on my buy list. While this wine is very drinkable now (IMO), I'd wait at least 2 years to really dig in. It should provide great drinking for 15+ years.
93/94 points in my book.
