Notes from the Dec. 2003 BAWE Holiday tasting:

Light ruby in color with moderate bricking and an elegant nose of cherries and cream. Balanced and fine on the palate, with fine integrated tannins and good complexity leading to a medium finish. 92 points.

Well Eric has said it for me; I thought the Palmer showed very well indeed.

Medium-dark ruby colour. Aromas of cedar, blackcurrant, leather, cherry. Medium-full bodied, fully integrated tannins. Balanced wine, with notes of cedar and red fruit. Gorgeous, seamless wine. Moderate-long finish, 40-45s, with leather, earth and cherry. Drinking wonderfully right now. 94 points (07/27/2005).

Now this doesn't help, does it? I have a 1988 and a 1990 - should I blend them to get this result?

lol. I don't think that would quite work out. I would, however, drink that 1988. I had it last year, and didn't think it would improve at all. My notes are here.
