| Was purchased by my Dad in 1986 on release for $15CAD. No ullage, which was surprising. Slow, thin legs. Light ruby red, slight browning on the rim. Aromas of tobacco, cherry, pencil lead, minerals. Delicate, elegant nose. Bit of barnyard that blows off. Medium-bodied, still with some fruit of red berries. Tannins non-existent. Fleshed out a little bit with time, showing more red fruit. Short finish. Over the hill, but still drinkable. 84 points (10/13/2003). | | |
