We had this wine tonight over some appetizers at one of our food hangouts in town it was decanted for 2 full hours prior to tasting. The notes are short because the situation didn't allow me to get geeky.
Dark ruby/purple color with bricking at the edges.
Moderate nose of currant, sweet black fruits, lilacs?, spice and cedar.
The wine is medium-bodied low acid and a little tannin hanging around to pull it all together. Very nice finish.
I think this wine could be drinkable for another 8-10 years, but probably right at its peak now.
