Had this last night with ojeffso & Revlis. This was supplied by Mr. ojeffso. 1st, & again, Thank You.

OK...I do NOT have a lot of experience with Bordeauxs. So, this was very exciting for me. I want to start expanding my horizons. This is obviously very young for this Wine. This was drank just as a Test. To see if these Wines (on a Great Year) are "Good Buys For The $$$" or Good QPR.

Me personally, I had a hard time picking out the Fruit(s) & TNs. I could only pick out the dominant Fruits. One of the reason is that this was very young & French Wines are Not as "Fruit-forward/obvious" as CA Wines.

Cost: About $17.00. Excellent Wine for the $$$. I will be interested in picking up a Case when released.

This Wine needs time. A good idea is to start to drink it in 2-3 years. It will improve. I tasted chocolate, & blackberry. Very nice Aroma. Beautiful. Good Finish, but Not great. But, the age-factor, again. A good amount of Tannins.

Rating: 89-90. Potential for more. If you can find it. Go for it. Will NOT be sorry, for sure.

this wine cost $17. it is an excellent value. i am not exactly sure of the makeup, but i think primarily merlot with cabernet franc. when evaluating this wine i am looking for potential down the road. opened four hours prior to drinking and consummed over the next three hours,

dark inky purple in color, slow moving legs, beautiful nose of ripe blackberries, vanilla and plenty of toasty oak. this wine has a $40-50 nose. medium to full body with excellent concentration of black fruit and again toasty oak.
excellent balance and structure, but not much complexity at this stage. lots of tannins and a very nice finish. my only concern is the amount of oak. this wine needs another 3-4 years and should last for 15. rp87-89+, me89+

This wine had the best nose of the night. Smelled highly extracted. Definite "ripe blackberry" as ojeffso says, and the vanilla oak is right on target also. Of course there is a heavy terrior palate as well... I guess that's considered a given with these TN's but I'll put it in there for newbie bordeaux drinkers like myself. Very well put together wine. As time went on, this came around more and more... definitely something to age with good potential.
Rev rates it: 88+
