Medium deep red in color. Huge nose of leather, tobacco, oak, and black cherry. Medium body in the mouth with nice dark fruits and earth qualities, medium finish. Just a bit hollow on the mid-palate, but seems to fill in more and more with air time, only got about 3 hours total, but there is some left over for today. 85-88 points, will be at the higher end if it plumps up.

It did indeed plump up, but it lost most of the delightful nose, now a more restrained black cherry and blackberry nose, much more like a Cal Cab than Bordeaux the second night. Gosh if I could mix a freshly opened bottle with one with a day of air on it I'd have a good 90+ pointer. I'll go 88.
