Just a wee bit boring.  LBs need time but at 10 years it should start to show a little.  The pros said 90 points across the board and that is pretty close to how it was drinking.


  • 1998 Château Léoville Barton - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (1/2/2008)
    Well-done Bordeaux with decent structure. An above average bottle but I'm not sure these are ever going to be anything more than that. Decanted about 30 minutes and probably could have used more time to open up. (89 pts.)

I've had a few of these over the past year or two and I think they are just delicious - very solid - balanced and drinakble. I don't normally rate wines - and I can't recall enough to do any real tasting note but I have seeveral more of these and my expectations are that I will really enjoy each one quite a bit.
