Color was very dark with only slight signs of age. The immediate and powerful nose really blew me away. It was full of mint and chocolate that was simple-sexy and complex-intellectual at the same time (in a lead-pencil-Pauillacky kind of way) The palate was extremely concentrated with just the right amount of tannin to be excellent now, but even better 6, 7, or 10 years from now. Finish was long, strong, and bound to get the friction on.

To say the least, I thought I had died and gone to heaven and gave it a score of 9 out of 10, the first wine to receive that honor from me so far.
