1998 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (10/15/2007)
Dark clear purple in color; This bottle was bretty just after it was decanted but dissipated after 15 minutes or so. After that lots of mineral flavors, dark fruit and a touch of smoke. Balanced and drinking well. Nice wine and unmistakeably Bordeaux. It may improve although probably not dramatically. [Decanted for 15 minutes; opened up at around 30 minutes] (90 pts.)
