89 RWP; 88 Winetex; $19.99 From a 75 acre vineyard in St. Julien. The wine is 70% Cab cab sauv, merlot, cab franc and petite verdot. It has blackberry on the nose and in the middle. It was nicely structured with soft tannins and very fat and sweet. This is a good wine at a good price. It will be some of my Bordeaux drinking in about two years as it doesn’t need tons of time. I had to fight off others from the tasting this morning over the few cases of this in stock. I noticed that Zachy’s and K&L might have this one.

I revised this after thinking about it this morning. 2000 Château Lalande-Borie - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (10/2/2008) Bright ruby color, slighty cloudy; It was on the simple side and singular with some pure fruit and minerals. There was a vegetal aroma upon opening the bottle that blew off - wasn't sure what it was if anything. A nice under $20 2000 Bordeaux. (87 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker
