1999 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (4/21/2007) WIML90,WA91,WS89 Tasted April 21, 2007 at an offline. Tasted from a Spiegelau Authentus Magnum glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of cedar, dark fruits, dried herbs and perhaps some floral components. Flavors of chewy red fruits, berries and cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drinking rather well at the moment. (90 pts.)

WIML, the 99 Ducru is on sale in the South Florida area for $53. Based on your tasting, is it worth it? Would you buy at that price? Thanks

Yes. That's an excellent price for a 1999 Ducru. It's roughly in the 90 point arena by my book and drinking quite well right now so it's definitely worth buying a bottle, popping it and taking it for a test ride. Then head back to the store and load up if your palate likes it.
