1989 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (4/13/2007)
WIML95,WA95,WS98

Tasted April 13, 2007 at an offline. Opened and decanted for sediment right before serving. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of cedar, leather, roasted meat and Kirsch. Flavors of cassis, sweet berries and chewy red currants. Medium acidity and tannins, full bodied. Needs more time in bottle in my opinion. (95 pts.)

1989 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (5/19/2007)

Tasted May 19, 2007 at and offline. Opened and served immediately. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of cedar, graphite and black cherries. Flavors of black berries, currants and cassis. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink or hold. NOTE: second time I’ve had this wine in the past month and this bottle wasn’t showing quite as well as the first bottle. For what it’s worth. (92 pts.)
