- 1983 Château Belair (Dubois-Challon) - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (3/24/2007)
Served blind; clear garnet color; Initially a quite confusing wine in the glass - I wrote down "Bordeaux from Piedmont" due to its Nebbiolo aromas. On the palate the Bordeaux origin was more clear but then there was the Neb note again on the finish. I had it as a low 1990s wine due to the tannins so it definitely did not betray its age. Tough to guess but complex and interesting wine. (90 pts.)
