Not decanted, but served in Eisch breathable stems. A little closed and medicinal at first, but that blew off very quickly (thanks to those stems!). Sizzling grilled meats and licorice on the nose. Chocolate, pencil lead, coffee, and red fruits across the palate. A nice round mouthfeel. (88 pts.)

| Another bottle, a different experience. Wonderful earth on the nose, caramel and rich fruits on the palate. Excellent length. Good mouthfeel, nicely balanced. Went perfectly with tenderloin in port and shallot reduction. 90pts. | | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |
