yaikes! Excellent storage, beautiful nose, but tastes bitter on the finish, stemmy on midpalate and I had difficult time finishing the bottle.
My WORST '03 expereince.

Serge -

Do you think this wine was completely closed down? Parker, whose drinking windows are usually earlier than later, even said hold off until 2009+ to try. Coming from him that probably means hold off until 2015 for the rest of us!

He also said it's the greatest Kirwan in the last 25 years and scored it 93+.

Perhaps it's closed or just a preferance of style...?

Blair, the honest answer:
I don't know.

Daniel Rogov, whose palate aligned with mine more than Parker's'
liked it too:
here is his note and drinking window.

I guess the only way to find out is to get another bottle in USA and try it again.

So many respected critics liking it and me not, makes me believe that the second re-tasting is a must in the future.

Bertrand Russel put it best:

"Of course not. After all, I may be wrong."

(asked whether he would be prepared to die for his beliefs)
