  • 1998 Château Belair (Dubois-Challon) - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (9/23/2006)

    I thought this was a very good wine just entering the secondary phase. It was not typical for a Bordeaux from this region but vastly outperformed the professional ratings IMHO. It still had lots of acidity and really performed well with the food. I would guess that will enter early maturity in the next couple of years but could go longer. A real treat as I really enjoyed this. (92 pts.)
