Such a treat! Oh to have a cellar full of mature Bordeaux. Someday. Deep red-black with just a hint of bricking detectable. Youthful fruit flavors led by vibrant currant and raspberry. Earthy tobacco leaf, wood smoke, and pencil lead follow. Not big -- a medium to light sophisticated finish. Good acidity keeps everything humming along on the high notes. Should continue to be excellent for years but drink now. At £140 from a restaurant wine list in 5 star boutique hotel in London, it wasn't cheap, but it was one of those special wine experiences that is often difficult to convey with a tasting note and a score. (93 pts.)
