| Very very good wine, not spectacular...
If I hadn't known what I was drinking I would have pegged this as a Medoc. This had cassis and saddle leather on the nose, as well as, perhaps, some lavander. The wine showed almost no bricking but it was slightly cloudy, showing a little age. The palate was deliniated; I'm not certain if this needs more time, the tannins and acid seemed harmonious, I just think this wine may not turn out quite as flamboyant as one would expect. The finish is good -- 30 seconds, but, again, slightly more austere, like the palate, than I had anticipated. 92.5 with possible room for improvement(?) | | I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland. -- Woody Allen | |
