Really unfair to post a TN as this wine is so young. Not just young as in 'it is a recently released first growth Bordeaux' but also young as in 'this wine won't be ready to drink for at least 17 years'. I contrast this with the '03 Montrose which is very young now, but which I could not debate a person chosing to open -- the Montrose was an open, wonderful wine that I think will get even better over the next 10++ years; this was just a hint of what it may become...

The nose was beautiful with red and black berries and flowers (violets?). The palate was medium-full bodied and balanced, but not giving up much, certainly not as much as the nose. Classic Left Bank Bordeaux stuff, but you couldn't tell the pedigree on this from the palate alone. The finish was about 30 seconds. This is a very good wine now and it certainly may grow up to be an extrodinary wine, but it is not extrodinary now nor do I expect it to be for the next at least 10 years (although I'm guessing more like 15-20). If I had any of this I would store it deep in the cellar and forget about it until at least 2020. 93 with serious increased potential over time.
I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.

Thanks for the TNs on the 2003 Lafite Rothschild. That's the problem I have with recently released "first growth Bordeaux". I always want to try them young!!!

Thanks for the TN. What kind of pricing are you seeing on this wine? It is around after tax $380 here in Louisville.
