One of our first 2000s. Decanted 7 hours or so, poured back in bottle and taken to La Brochette. Still very young, we have a number of other bottles of this so took a flier.

Delicious, medium-bodied. Plum, blackberries and a hint of tobacco with some chocolate on the finish. Long finish.

91 points (MLV had it at 92), with potential for improvement.

Glad to hear that the wine is shaping up nicely. I bought about 2 cases, and haven't tried any yet.

It was very nice and exceeded my expectations. After we had it, I looked at Suckling's note which was almost identical to mine, as it turned out.

We bought a half case of it, and will sample them, maybe one a year until our bigger hitters are ready.

Thanks for the note. I looked at my inventory and realized that I have some of these. They must have been bought in the 2000 Bdx feeding frenzy.

Thanks Jcocktosten. I have a mag of this, but I won't be opening for about 4 more years (if I can wait that long).

Probably a good idea. It is still a baby, and with a magnum, I would try to wait.

Still, it was apporachable and delicious.
