This has been one 1988 that has drank well for a long time and has never dissapointed me. The bottle has been open for an hour and a half and is showing well.

The nose keeps opening up and evolving. It is revealing creamy secondary notes of cedar, black currant, light toast and the ever popular graphite. Easily identifiable as a Pauillac and good stuff.

The tannins are nicely resolved and the texture is smooth with just a hint of structure. The flavors are clearly in the secondary phase with cedar, tea and black plum highlights.

To me this is a "classic" Bordeaux; true to its terrior and nicely balanced.
