Wow!!! From two seperate 750's this showed burgundy with a medium-to-medium plus nose of gravel, wet leaves, explosive sweet notes of cassis, blackberrry, cedar and tobacco leaf. Medium plus body, full intensity and medium-to-medium plus acidity and medium plus tannin. The palate was so layered and complex I didn't want to swallow the wine. The texture was so smooth, the wine not weighty for the amount of power and concentration it packed, and all the components are in place. This was still young and if I owned any(I wish) I would wait another 5-8 years before checking on it again. What a treat, I was at a loss for words and pretty much just stopped writing. Easily one of the best bordeaux I have ever had!!
