$25 Fantastic color and clarity for a 22 year old, average vintage, non classified! Deep red with just a hint of brick at the rim. Red cherry, iron, herbs, and loam nose that is relatively soft and round. Medium cherry palate, simple, but pure fruits, no detracting flavors. Medium bodied with a clean, if a bit clipped finish. As a stand alone wine I would rate this 85 points, however that would not be the whole story. I had 3 choices for wine to drink with a nice filet (I nailed that one, yum), simmered mushrooms, small red potatoes, spinach, and aspergrass, '02 Quilceda, '99 Harlan, and '83 Sociando, I drank the Sociando as its delicate nuance paired perfectly with the food (way too many commas in that sentence.. wink.gif ). If I saw this again at that price I wouldn't hesitate to buy a few more. Once again this house shows why it gets the respect it does.
