Bottle decanted for about 3 hours. Dark ruby color and full bodied. Beautiful nose of leather and black cherry. Also has some earthiness/barnyard on the nose. Leather, currant and blackberry on the palate. Tannins were not overwhelming. This is my first time having a first-growth, and I thought that this was a very good wine from what most people believe was an "off" vintage. Can't wait to try a first growth from a better vintage. 92 pts.

I had this wine upon release and considered it about 91-92 points. Quite good, but not great. From my recollection, I basically agree with your notes...
