i began drinking this wine yesterday afternoon and finished tonight. i opened at about 12 noon yesterday and splash decanted. short and i took a small taste at 2:00 pm. i drank some more at 5:00 pm and then had with dinner from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. i finished a half glass tonight. paid $27. 1150 cases made.

80% merlot, 15% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon.

very dark ruby purple color. slow moving dark thick legs. exotic nose of casis, mineral, menthol and toasty oak. full bodied concentrated black fruit that coats your mouth with a long finish. excellent balance and very sweet silky tannins. this wine is lovely right now, but obviously will benefit from cellaring and gain more complexity. i will revisit in about 3-4 years. should last for 15-20 years. me92+

this is another of the excellent 2000 bordeaux that are avaiable for a reasonable price. i have been amazed at the quality of wines available in the $15-40 range.
