This was WOTN at a tasting a few days ago. I have never had a wine that just screamed of torched forest brush and matchstick amber as this wine. The smokiness and fruit laden cassis, blackcurrant, and wild mushrooms was a pure joy to have experienced with other Bordeaux lovers. This wine has a nice life in front of it, but can be enjoyed now. Others may disagree with my "enjoy now" statement, but I am glad I had a chance to try this wine. Unfortunately we did not have a feast of good food to enjoy with this, as I think this wine would have even been better with food. There is plenty of tannin in this wine but not overly done IMO. 94pts.

We had this wine at an offline a year ago, and it was spectacular. Easily our WOTN, and if I'm not mistaken, received a group score of 96-97 points. TN's as you desribed and clearly drinking magnificently now. I wish we had more. I have an '86 resting in my cellar and tempted to open shortly.

I've had this wine numerous times and loved it every time. It's an early maturing vintage for Lynch Bages.futronic liked it also
