WOW and a double Holy $#!^ !!! Had the opportunity to enjoy this from two bottles last night with a business partner who has always been ridiculously generous when selecting restaurant wines. First bottle was decanted for just over an hour prior to initial taste, then consumed over an hour. Incredibly smooth with plenty of soft, fine tanins gently hidden behind a wall of ripe fruit. Tobacco, some red licorice and candied cherries or cranberry. Wonderful floral characteristics and a faultless integration of all components. May be the WOML!! 100 perfect points.

The second bottle was opened and consumed over the next 45-50 minutes, and definately could have benefitted from some air time. It had a slightly spicy flavor upfront, and the red licorice was more prominent, but was still an absolutely outstanding wine.

I just packed up 3 of these tonight to bring to auction soon. Sounds pretty good.

Tasted last night.

Very good wine, but not extrodinary, nor did it seem to show the potential of other young Bordeaux I've tried...

Lots of lavander on the nose along with lots of brown tobacco; also plent of purple fruits, cedar and spice. Medium-full bodied wine with a 35+ second finish. The palate was a little less interesting than the nose, though the same flavors were present. I would have pegged this as in the $100 range. A very good wine to be sure, just not the OMFG that I was hoping for. If I owned some of this, based upon this bottle and current auction value, I would sell. If keeping, I would wait 7+ years for this to hit its prime. 93(+)
I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.
