From 375, fill into neck. No idea where this one was going to go. Ruby red in color, lovely nose of red cherry, with some tobacco, and spice notes thrown in. Fully mature wine with perfectly resolved tannins, but with lovely cherry fruits still abundent, great balance, medium finish. This was poured dirctly from bottle into glasses. Was fully alive the entire 45 minutes it lasted. Surprisingly good from this format. 93 points. I would guess this saw superior storage conditions its whole life, and should have had no problem going another 5 years without noticeable decline. Great birthday wine.
