1986 Chateau Montrose
St. Estephe
12.5% Alcohol
2/19/05

Very dark black/ruby/purple coloration with absolutely no bricking or fading. Medium full bodied wine displaying enjoyable flavors of crushed stone, black raspberries, black currants, earth, tobacco, anise, and oak. A formidable battalion of tannin rushes in just behind the fruit to coat the mouth. The finish lasts 35-40 seconds with just a touch of tartness. This wine took a good 3.5 hours to drink it's best of the night, but still requires a few more years to develop as this wine is still fairly primary. 93 points, Drink 2009-2024.

Note; this wine was aquired from a cellar that averages 48-52F degrees.
