Tasted at the "OrindaDave" offline, 01/10/05...Clearly the most evolved of the three wines of this flight, the ’75 Lafite started out strong but faded quickly. Notes of graphite and berries on the nose, but with a tinge of oxidative qualities, the tannins on this wine are still firmly in control but the fruit doesn’t seem to be hanging in. Time in the glass did the wine a disservice, as it began developing seriously unpleasant stinky, horse-y notes and the mid-palate dropped off completely. 88 Points from the first 5 minutes of the tasting
