Tasted at the
1990 Bordeaux Dinner, 12/15/04:
Wow! The nose on this wine is something else, with tremendous power that assaults and awakens the senses with dense aromas of blackberries, raspberries, earth, and menthol, and graphite. Offering an outstanding mouthfeel, the wine possess tremendous focused fruit, outstanding balance, very fine grained tannins, and deeply layered fruit. My only (slight) criticism was that I found the finish to drop off rather abruptly, given the power and density of the wine I was hoping for more at the end, 94 points.
This won
my #3 wine of the night and was voted 3rd place overall, with:
2 votes for 1st place
4 votes for 2nd place
2 votes for 3rd place
weighted vote value of 16 points.
